2010 marked our thirtieth birthday as an RSCDS Branch. This staff was created more to highlight the grain of the wood than to display carving. I chose to use a wood burner to add the ball information. One of my sisters won this staff and gave it back to me.

The header is a picture of the top of the 'Dance Styx' which was carved to be the prize in a raffle at the 2008 Annual Ball and Workshop sponsered by the Sacramento Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society. You'll find a link to the Branch's blog below.
